Dylan Jefferies

Dylan Jefferies, a 2021 graduate of Portland State University, is an award-winning journalist and writer from Portland, Oregon. 

He is the former Health and Homelessness Reporter at The Columbian in Vancouver, Washington. He was a 2021 reporting intern at The Bend Bulletin through the University of Oregon’s Charles Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism. 

His stories received awards at the 2021 NW Excellence in Journalism Awards through the Society of Professional Journalists and the 2022 Better Newspaper Contest through the Oregon Newspaper Publisher's Association.

During his time at PSU, he served as news editor and editor-in-chief at PSU’s student-run newspaper, Vanguard, where he was the recipient of multiple Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association awards and the Wilma Morrison Scholarship for Excellence in Journalism.
